Late payment interests paid to suppliers

Repeated late payments of the pharmaceutical invoices by the Regional Governments Health Services result in severe damages to the owners of pharmacy offices who have signed their corresponding Pharmacist Compensation Collective Agreements, thus becoming suppliers to the Government.

Our Firm’s Pharmaceutical Law team filed one of the first claims for the payment of late payment interests under the Law for combating late payments in commercial transactions (8%) against the Castille-La Mancha Health Services.

Toledo’s no. 2 Contentious Administrative Court Judgment no. 348 of November 25, 2014, dismissed all the opposing reasons declared by SESCAM and has recognized the rights of recurring pharmacists to receive interests for the amounts claimed. This Judgment is final and the interests have been paid by the Government to each pharmacy office.
